WID®-easy is a rapid, accurate, and minimally invasive test for the early detection of womb cancer in women with abnormal uterine bleeding. A swab is taken form the vagina and cervix and sent to the lab for DNA analysis, after which a result will be returned to the clinic. The high accuracy of the WID-easy test helps to build a clearer picture of the risk of cancer and inform whether further investigations, such as hysteroscopy, are necessary.
How is the WID-easy test done?
Your clinician will take a sample from your vagina and behind your cervix, similar to having a cervical smear test. Your sample will then be sent to a lab for analysis.

Why am I being offered a WID-easy test?
Women will abnormal uterine bleeding are at a higher risk of womb cancer. The WID-easy test supports clinicians in accurately ruling out womb cancer or confirming there is a higher likelihood of womb cancer.
What does a positive or negative WID-easy result mean?
If your WID-easy test is negative, the likelihood that you have cancer is less than 0.4%. If your test is positive, there is a higher likelihood of cancer and therefore your clinician will advise on further evaluations.
